Preambule

Gambia is located in the western part of Africa on the Atlantic coast.it has a total  population of 1,600,000 inhabitants and 60 /' of this population consist of youth  (14 – 24) according to the last national general census. The country's youthful population is engaged more in sports (particularly football) than other any other activity.
 

The Gambia has a national Football governing body call  Gambia Football Association ( G F A)which is task with the responsibilities of the day to day administration of football in the country.  The Gambia has produced o lot of young talented players who are currently plying their trade with professional clubs in Europe, America and other professional leagues. The Gambia in the past four years won the African U-17 championship twice ,also participated in FIFA U-17 World Cup twice in 2005 in Peru and Nigeria in 2009 and won Pepsi U-17 tournament in Nigeria in 2009. the darling team  of the nation also won other two international friendly tournaments.The Gambia U-20 also crowned the 3 rd best Africa youth Championship in Congo 2007 and Participated in FIFA youth World Cup in Canada 2007

this is clear manifestation that The Gambia has a bright future in football in the talents are properly harnessed and moulded meaningfully . To compliment the effort of the Gambia Football Association ,                                                                                
  Messrs OMAR SISE and KEMO CEESAY started a school of Excellence called GAMBIA RUSH SOCCER CLUB as a partner club to the Rush Soccer Club of USA
 

OBJECTIVES

• To recruit minimum of 80 (eighty) players from the age of 10 and teach them Football as the life skills to improve their technical and tactical ability til the age of 17 years.
   

• To transfer minimum of 8 (eight) players annually to Europe or other professional leagues with the aim of making profit.
   

• To inculcate in the young people that sense of professionalism to make them economically useful members of society 

• Building the capacity of our Clubs and other club officials

   

STRATEGY OF RECRUITING

 

The board will periodically conduct a screening exercise in schools to search for young talents who have the potential and are academically sound but must be within the age limit of recruitment.

MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

The school will be managed by full-time staff as follows:

• Technical Director

• Coaching Staff

• Gym attendance

• Medical personnel

• Catering staff,housekeeping staff,receptionists,securities and gardener
